Qwerty Slider on Tiny Nokia Handphones with A Big Keyboard, Comfort on Messaging.

Interface

Nokia 6760 Slider was cost on $314,5 USD, not only preparing on qwerty keyboard and online feature as office handphones, the same as E-series, but featured by fresh designs.
Existence of Symbian S60 3rd edition was primary reason of equal with Nokia E-Series. At flashview, Nokia 6760 Slider was a media player with shortcuts keypad stand on sideseeing with face on Nokia Logo. When slider opening, screen display change orientation display to landscape one. Its appeared perfectly on it.
Nokia 6760 Slider was not touch screen featured in it with alphanumeric keypads was on above of handphone.

Although, it was a kind of tiny Nokia, 38 qwerty keyboards was proportionally and comfortably. If we would to control directions we still need d-pad which put on rightside of the screen. About 5cm from right keyboard.

Symbian S60 3rd edition was effected on handphone screen display completely. That mean this OS Symbian still user friendly.

There were 3 shortcuts keypad lining on leftside of d-pad, two own keys and a menu keypads. First Ownkey function was acted to features browser and second ownkey was functioned for open messaging feature.

Uniquely, there was an accelerometer for changing screen orientation, turning ringtones off and turning off the alarm sound if we positioned the handphone with lying flat.

Connectivity

Primary feature was messaging with data road on 3G standard and HSDPA with 3,6 mbps acceleration.
On messaging, Nokia 6760 Slider had newest feature on push mail without additional fee charge except data access (GPRS/3G/HSDPA). We able to register 10 email accounts on this gadget with famous domain such as; Yahoo, Google, Hotmail etc.

Multimedia

Primary feature was Messaging on it but still brought amount of great feature on multimedia. There was on Symbian standard music player, Real Player and Newest version Flash Lite.

No Special think on Camera because it was no completed by autofocus and professional camera's settings with low flashlight capability. Finally, 3,2 MegaPixels on it was standard with video recording on 15 fps framerate and QVGA resolution.

Beside of Camera, we could enjoy music player with audio format such as; AAC, AAC+ v1, AAC+ v2, AMR-WB, WAV, WMA 9 and RealAudio10. Unfortunately, searching of music files was no smart so it will mix between musics and ringtones files.

About id3 tag support, 6760 slider was a great one. With completely informations such as; song title, artists, album untill art album.

On the other side, this handphones was completed by Symbian 260 standard video player, namely RealVideo with great capability. Several format were support in it, such as; H.264, H.263, RealVideo10, WMV 9 and MPEG4.

Applications and Installations

Nokia 6760 Slider was user friendly with comfortably on typing use qwerty keyboard.
Supply document management feature such as QuickOffice, but unfortunately it was on incompletely license. That meaning, this application only for open document without editing in it. Fortunately, there was full function on Adobe PDF reader.

Beside that, Nokia 6760 Slider was supplied by chatting facility such as MSN Live Messenger made in Microsoft. We can registered email account on basic of Hotmail.com, Live.com and MSN.com. As well as we can using message reader to read inbox folder SMS.

Other feature was GPS receiver internal which was combined by Nokia Map.

Hardware

Nokia 6760 Slider was injected by 120 MB Internal Memory, 128 MB RAM and microSD slot up to 8 GB. Battery was supplied by Lithium Polymer 1500 mAh with a great endurance.

NOKIA 6280

One of Nokia handphone with 3G featured in it. Beside that, it had 3rd generation network that was UMTS/3G also GSM of course. This handphone able to accomodate every 3G service, such as video call.

Design

Nokia 6280 had roundly body without point, 10cm length, 4,6cm width and 2,1cm thick, but it was slim for slider handphone.
Loudspeaker of Nokia 6280 placed no comfortable, placed outside of infrared port. Effectly, output sound lack of surround.
Comfortable on texture and compotition numeric keypad. No smooth also big and soft one. Minus on right softkey for clearing of typing because placed too far. effectly, no comfortabling if we type messages.

Screen

It was injected by wide screen TFT 3,5x4,5cm, 262.144 colours depth for 320x240 pixels (QVGA) resolution. So, user-interface feature display was pure and soft and so solid.
In wide and great screen, displayed 11 primary menus which was designed by attractive icons plus animations, such as; Messaging, Contacts, Log, Settings, Gallery, Media, PTT, Organiser, Apps, Web and Audio Messaging.

Messaging

Nokia 6280 abled to process mp3, aac, wav, midi, amr and m4a formats as ringtone, completed 64 channels of polyphonic ringtones. Unfortunately, mp3 ringtone injection no better than default polyphonics.
An excitement think was videos with 3gp and mp4 able to use on video tone, screensavers and phonebooks personalization.

Camera

Second VGA camera on frontside use for video call. Unfortunately, no able to use for ownself photoes shot, for video call only.
Primary camera with 2 megapixels resolution, with 160x120 pixels up to 1600x1200 pixels picture.

Nokia 6280 no featured by autofocus and macro mode shot, camera effects, videos and pictures quality setting only with night mode, selftimer shot and image sequence.

Although that, it was injected by flash light and mirror that felt helping users, but had 1,5 m long distance only.

While transfering on PC, good indoor and outdoor picture, with detail picture objects. But no too sharp impression and low colour expossure, effectly, make a picture look pale.

Recording video in 640x480 pixels (VGA) resolution, but fullfiled much memory capacity if saved.

Entertainment.

Music Player, Media Player and Radio FM.

Its music player able to play audio mp3, aac, m4a, wav and amr formats well.
Unfortunately, its loudspeaker no 3D surround. Effectly, playing on equalizer and stereo widening, no soft and hard sounds.
Better, if playing on headset in selling package.

Media Player able to play on 3gp and mp4 formats videos.

Radio FM as an alternative entertainment with standard ability, able to save up to 20 broadcasting channels.
Minus, on radio FM no automatic searching feature, so we must search and save radio frequency manually. Enough difficult, isn't it?

Games.

Nokia 6280 injected by Java MIDP 2.0 with good acceleration. With JVM (Java Virtual Machine) while gaming was great.
There were 3 default games in it, such as; Golf Tour, Rally 3D and Snake III. Beside that, downloadable java games via internet, bluetooth, infrared and USB data cable.

Memory

On selling packages, prepared external memory miniSD 64MB. Beside that, internal memory 7,2 MB (shared). This external memory able to injecte up to 2 GB capacity. Effectly, able to save much photoes/pictures, songs and datas.

Battery

Injected by lithium-ion 970 mAh but no compatible if compare with much multipurpose in its features. And once charging able to life 2 days normally.

Nokia 3250, Twist It and Music Rumbles Out

This handphone was claimed as debut Nokia Music Handphone in Indonesia. That means, this gadget which cost $81.6 USD, are very useful music player more than other features in it. although, it didn't underestimate other features which support.

Design

There was different candybar on it between other candybar on other handphones generally.
Square body of this handphone splitted at two parts. Bottom block as numeric keypad place, camera and music panel can twist 270 degrees.

More unique, external memory bolt on the up-left side of twist hinge. To find it, you must twist a block on bottom side at 90 degrees. Stereo loudspeaker sticks at bottom side.

The plastick numeric keypad was roughly texture and soft. Because of that, non-smoothly and comfortable when using type on keypad. Unfortunately, it has hard joystick, but still comfort while accessing menus and features in it.

Screen

Nokia 3250's display enables to show a great colour and contrast compotitions. Could catch soft, pure and solid impression. Be knowledgeable, had sharp screen on 262.144 colours. Packed on TFT (Thin Film Transistor) technology. 176x208 pixel resolutions on 3,48x4,11 cm width.

Personalization

Animation pictures disabled to fullfilled on the screen, but polyphonic ringtones on 64 channels enable with great quality sound, very loud and pure. Carried MP3, AAC, MIDI, WAV and M4A formats which dressed in it.

Aplications Compatibilities

Carried New Symbian Operating System, that was 9.1 version at 60 UI series third edition. Because of that, Nokia 3250 not supported by old version SIS extension applications. So, only certains applications able to use in it. Beside that, JAR files certain only, able to use in it.

Camera

2 MegaPixels Cameras with CMOS censor. Max photoes format was 1600x1200 pixels.

For positioning of camera like handycam with level viewfinder. Just twist 90 degrees bottom side opposite of clock pointer direction. Music player controls functioned as camera panel, aimer and zooming. It was a sweet position, unfortunately, lack of comfortable for beginner users.

Nokia 3250's camera not completed by flashlight. Had usual effect to take low-light objects, moreover at evening. But, with nightmode feature, white balance and colour tone adjust felt cover minus.

Generally, result of pictures in and outside was good. Only, lack of contrast and had bluish effect. Still level as camera result, videoclips had unlimited duration depend on memory card capacity remaining and break-down disability. It size was 176x144 pixels in QCIF and 128x96 pixels in SubQCIF.

Entertainment

Music player was priority entertainment feature. With MP3 audio format, also AAC, M4A, WAV, AMR, MIDI, RealAudio Voice, RealAudio7/8/10 and WMA able to sing more comfortably. This music player has equalizer facilities, balance, reverb, stereo widening and bass boost.

More than it, has very loudspeaker voice, louder than Walkman Sony Ericsson. But, non-balanced with bass and treble quality. result, lack of nice-sound. Although, had stereo headset same as Walkman Sony Ericsson's type, stereo widening was not better than Walkman. Music Library Feature abled to manage songs files.
Radio FM equipment and RealPlayer also useful as alternative entertaint facility.

Memory

Beside of Internal memory which 14,42 MB (shared), Nokia 3250 fulfilled by external memory in selling package with microSD (TransFlash) type, 512 MB.

Connectivity

Bluetooth second version acted as connection nircable. Had Great ability to access moving data.

If drop song down Nokia 3250, better use USB data cable. Of course, first step, if installed in PC suite software and cable driver. Drag and drop song files from PC to handphone.
